try this recipe:

2 large eggs
1/2 c butter, melted
1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans (OPTIONAL for those who are ALLERGIC or if you are baking and someone ALLERGIC is around)
:-)
preheat 350
stir til blended - cake mix, eggs, melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla
add chocolate chips and/or nuts (which as previously mentioned are OPTIONAL :-)
drop by leveled tablespoon on a greased cookie sheet
bake at 350 for 12 minutes for chewy cookies (they'll still be puffy when you take them out)
or 14 minutes for crisp cookies
cool 2 minutes and remove to cooling racks
store in airtight container

where did you get the recipe?? It does sound good particularly with the nuts in it--sorry Caslon!!
on the duncan hines box, but i made them for em's picnic yesterday. they were yummy
no sorry Caslon!!
nuts are OPTIONAL... :)
see, that's when we just have to make a double batch... without nuts first, then with nuts. That's how my mom always made stuffing at thanksgiving- without mushrooms for brother, with mushrooms for the rest of us.
still, if my daughter were allergic to nuts, i think i would have to agree with Caslon that nuts are always OPTIONAL. ;->
I discovered cake cookies several years ago in AL. They are definitely yummy!!
grace
i typically do cake mix , 2 eggs and 1/2 c oil, but since this was a special eent i made the fancy version. :-)
