em last night while watching an original scooby doo:
"have you seen this before, mom?"
"yes, when i was little."
"wow! i'm watching a show from the olden days."
em last saturday when i asked her to clean her room:
"that is not what saturdays are for.
saturday is for having fun!"

hmm...now you know how it feels to be "old"!! I kind of agree with Em--you could offer her to clean her room every night and then she wouldn't have to clean on Saturday.
