h2o

mad upon meeting a police officer the other day while walking into the community pool:
"we are not the bad guys!"
officer: i'm not here today looking for bad guys, but i'm glad your not one of them."

mad upon getting out of the aforementioned pool:
"now i look like grandma!"
me: "what do you mean?"
mad: "i'm all crinkley like great-grandma."

emily upon listening to a wind in the door the 2nd book in the wrinkle in time series.
while describing the garden snake l'engle states, "Louise the larger had grown considerably since her baptism."
after i read this em perked up and said, "i'm ready to get baptized now. i've been thinking about it and i'm ready." i love how the Holy Spirit can use secular literature to do his good work.
(very un-keswickian of her for those of you following a time to laugh)
she followed through and went forward on church on sunday declaring her desire to get baptized.

how sweet--gram is getting wrinkly too but not quite as much as great gram. That sounds so much like em--tell her gram and grandpa are so happy to hear of her decision!!!

Oh I miss you all! The girls look cute on their bikes and Hickory is grown so much!! I hope you are all doing well. I'll call everyone soon to catch everyone up on our trip. We've been trying to recuperate this week. I hope Em had a good B-day and it's so exciting to hear about her decision. :)
