snow day blessings

a neighbor's
father came
over with his
snow blower
both yesterday
and today.

em with her
friend and our
snow turtle.
the snow isn't
the good packing
variety, so i had
to get creative.

Glad God sent someone to take care of that for you... I'm shivering just thinking about tryingto shovel that stuff!

I'm not sure about the turtle--although if you look really hard--I think I see it now!! Thank you for sharing your snow adventures--we almost feel we were there.Take care and stay warm!! Dad enjoy yourself while you are in Florida....

My boys dug (are still digging) a tunnel in the four foot drift in our backyard. It's wierd when I'm at the window watching them to see their bodies disappear into the snow.

Everyone's helping each other dig out in our subdiv. The guys with snow blowers have pretty much done all the sidewalks and the drives of the couple single women on the street. The plows came thru during the night, so now everyone's digging out the ends of the driveways so they can get out finally and slide to the subdiv. entrance.

Can you believe we're supposed to get another 2-3 inches on Saturday.... we're gonna be living in a muddy mess when it gets up in the 40's next week.... it'll feel like a tropical heatwave!! I can't wait!!

btw, there is no path to our door. there was a drift covering it when i originally went out and there was no way i was going to move it. oh well. use the garage.

consider the drifts insulation from the cold wind!

Now that I finally left the house a few hours ago, there are many drifts up to 6 feet tall, and several tunnels I've seen dug thru the mounds of snow on the sides of the road.... my boys are drooling and planning!!
