I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
The last thing I need is to be heard
But to hear what You would say

I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice

Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
Word of God speak

I normally love that song. But right now I'm in a ,"I don't know if I can deal with what you want to tell me mood."

I'd like to chalk it up to pms.

Yep, God knows what going on in my heart and mind right now even if I'm so overwhelmed that I'm at a loss for words. I'm having to work very hard at shutting down all the noise, outside and inside myself and just being still and remembering He's here with me if I just take the oppurtunity to listen to Him.

Thanks for the reminder to stop and listen.

"Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by."
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
\love these verses from i kings 19
it goes on to say, 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. elijah must have been very in tune to God to hear the soft whisper and to act on it.

so peaceful.

thanks for the passage crt. I too enjoyed our chat yesterday. Grant liked the "the monitor is going so we need a new computer" theory.
